Every matter begins with understanding the circumstances, identifying the objective, and determining whether our services are the right fit.
Because we maintain a limited caseload, we encourage prospective clients to begin with the path that best matches where they are in the decision-making process.
Whether you are still gathering information, ready to discuss a specific matter, or preparing to formally engage our services, you can begin below.
Not Sure Where to Start?
This is the best place to begin if you:
- want to understand how our services work;
- are evaluating whether investigative assistance is appropriate;
- want additional information before providing case details;
- are comparing potential service options; or
- simply want to understand what happens next.
Ready to Tell Us About Your Matter?
Complete the Initial Intake
If you have a specific matter you would like us to consider, the next step is completing our confidential intake form.
The intake process allows us to obtain the preliminary information necessary to understand your request, identify the services you may need, evaluate potential conflicts or limitations, and determine whether the matter is appropriate for further discussion.
Please provide information as accurately and completely as possible.
Completing an intake form does not create an investigator-client relationship, guarantee acceptance of a matter, or authorize investigative activity.
Once the information has been reviewed, you may be contacted regarding next steps.
Preparing to Engage Our Services
Be Ready for the Next Step
Depending on the matter, preparation may include gathering relevant documents, identifying important dates and individuals, establishing the investigative objective, reviewing service terms, and determining how communications and scheduling will be handled.
Preparing in advance can reduce delays and allow investigative resources to be directed toward the areas most likely to advance your objective.
Before engagement, you may be asked to provide:
- a concise description of the matter;
- important dates or a preliminary timeline;
- names and identifying information for relevant individuals or entities;
- documents, photographs, correspondence, records, or other supporting materials;
- known locations or contact information;
- information regarding pending litigation or applicable deadlines;
- the specific questions you are seeking to answer;
- your preferred method and availability for communication; and
- any additional information reasonably necessary to evaluate or perform the requested services.
Prepare to Engage Our Services
What Happens Next?
1. Submit Information
Begin by reviewing our services or completing the appropriate intake materials.
2. Initial Review
We review the information provided to determine the nature of the request, preliminary scope, potential conflicts, availability, and whether the matter is appropriate for our services.
3. Consultation or Follow-Up
When appropriate, we may request additional information or schedule a consultation to clarify the investigative objective, priorities, timing, and anticipated scope.
4. Scope and Engagement
If we agree to proceed, the proposed services, scope, fees, payment requirements, communication expectations, and applicable terms will be provided before investigative work begins.
5. Investigation Begins
Once all required engagement documents and payment requirements have been completed, the matter can be scheduled and investigative activity may begin in accordance with the agreed scope.
Limited Caseload. Intentional Service.
We accept a limited number of matters so that accepted cases can receive the attention, discretion, communication, and strategic consideration they require.
For that reason, submitting an inquiry does not guarantee availability or acceptance.
Our goal is not to accept every matter presented to us. Our goal is to determine whether there is a clear, lawful, and productive way for our services to advance the client’s legitimate objective.
When we accept an engagement, we want both parties to have a clear understanding of the work to be performed and the expectations surrounding it.
Services Designed Around the Matter—and the Client
Investigative needs do not always arise on a convenient schedule.
Clients may be managing litigation deadlines, employment obligations, family responsibilities, travel, business demands, or other circumstances that affect when they are available to participate.
Where reasonably possible, we coordinate consultations, document requests, interviews, and other client-dependent activities around established availability.
We encourage prospective clients to identify significant scheduling constraints during intake so those considerations can be incorporated into case planning from the beginning.
Confidentiality Begins With Discretion
We understand that contacting an investigative professional may involve sensitive personal, financial, business, family, or legal circumstances.
Please use discretion when submitting information and avoid transmitting unnecessary sensitive information until requested.
Information provided during the preliminary inquiry and intake process will be handled in accordance with applicable policies and professional requirements. However, preliminary communications should not be interpreted as creating an attorney-client relationship, legal privilege, or formal investigative engagement unless expressly established by written agreement.
